While working as a dentist in Tver, Inna loved working with children. When her two daughters were in elementary school at the Academy of Charter Schools in Westminster, she was a frequent speaker in their classes promoting the values of dental hygiene. It was those presentations that led to her writing of this book about little Lola, Sir Germs-a-Lot, and Dr. Marty McBoo.
This book was written to help kids and parents understand the importance of taking care of your teeth. The lead character Lola is a seven-year old girl who finds out the hard way that the combination of too many sweets and not brushing your teeth can lead to the appearance of Sir Germs-a-Lot and cavities. Fortunately for Lola, she had a regularly scheduled checkup with her dentist, Dr. Marty McBoo who helps chase the villain away. This narrow escape encouraged Lola to start brushing her teeth on a daily basis again.
